At university I studied Photography along with Radio and Television.  My first jobs were in BBC Radio – interviewing and producing. From there I worked in TV News, researching and directing before moving into stage management and floor management.

With the start of Kite Surfing I set up my own production company to make extreme sports DVDs.  Largely drawing on this experience I have been lecturing in short documentary and film at Bath Spa University for the last 16 years.

Outside of teaching, as my own creative practice, I returned to photography.  Initially with an emphasis on street photography, that transitioned over the last 8 years into documentary and event coverage.

I have a keen interest in people and their stories.  My camera has taken me to many great places near and far.  It has introduced me to fascinating and interesting people who have been a privilege to photograph.

I believe photographs are made not ‘taken’.
